Manually Creating Issues in JIRA
After you have configured the JIRAÂ settings, you can create issues in two different ways; Manually or Automatically.
For more information about creating issues automatically, please refer to the Auto-Creating Issues in JIRA section.
To manually create an issue in JIRA:
- Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio.
- Click Report tab.
- Double-click the Suite Name in which your test case exists. (If the warning appears, click the warning bar and then click Allow blocked content.)
- Expand the test case for which you want to create an issue.
- Click the Iteration Number for which you want to create an issue.
The test case details page appears. - Click the Create Bug link in the upper right corner.
A new window appears where JIRAÂ details appear in unedited mode. You can change these details from the Configuration Settings (Defect). Enter the required information as follows:Â
Priority Select the bug priority. Default is Medium. This field is mandatory. Summary Enter the Summary of the bug. This field is mandatory and comes prepopulated with SuiteName - TC Name - Iteration number. Environment Enter the Environment. This field is optional and comes prepopulated with Execution type (Local, Remote, etc.) - OS Name - Browser. Description Enter the Description. This field is optional. - Once all the required fields are entered, click Create.
You will see a confirmation dialog with the BUG ID as follows: Click View Bug to view this issue in JIRA.
