Before you Start Deployment

Preparing to Install and Configure Qualitia for Automation Testing

Qualitia is a scriptless test automation platform. Using Qualitia, you can implement automation for your Web, Desktop, and Mobile applications.

Before you start installing Qualitia, make sure that the following requirements are fulfilled:

  1. Download Qualitia Automation Studio for Web and Mobile.
  2. Activate Product License.
  3. Ensure that the machine where you plan to install Qualitia Server and Qualitia Client meets all minimum system requirements.
  4. Ensure that you have access to different communication ports required from Qualitia Server and Client machines.

Important Notice

It is strongly recommended to keep the database server and Qualitia server in the same local network (LAN). Keeping them in different network environments will result in performance issues due to network latency.

System, Database, and Network Privileges

Depending on your organizational policies and structure, you may have to interact with following roles and departments:

In order to install and access Qualitia Automation Studio (Server and Client), you must have Local Administrator privileges on the respective machines.

Additionally, you must white list Qualitia.exe in the virus checking (also known as Anti-virus) software.

Qualitia Automation Studio requires a relational database to store its test case related data. You can chose Microsoft SQL or My SQL relational servers to store the data based on your requirements. Qualitia users must have following privileges to the databases:

DatabasesPermissions on Qualitia Databases
Microsoft SQLDBO Privileges

Network Administrator

Qualitia needs access to a few network ports to communicate between components like Version Control, Data Store Servers and so forth. Depending on your organizational policies and structure, you may have to place requests to open certain ports on the machine where Qualitia Server is installed.

Following is the list of all the communication ports Qualitia needs access to:
