QEA-QST Execution

Test Set Execution

Follow the steps mentioned below to execute Qualitia Execution Agent (QEA) along with Qualitia SpiraTest (QST).

  1. Define Automation Host for machines where QEA is expected to execute Test Cases.
  2. Create a Test Case in Qualitia.
  3. Create a Test Set in QST. Update the field Qualitia Project with respective Project Name.
  4. Select the Automation Host on which Test Set has to be executed.
  5. Select Status as Not Started.
  6. Select the Type as Automated, to execute the Test Set through QEA.
  7. Create a Test Case in QST and update the field Qualitia TC Name to link Qualitia Test Case.
  8. Select Automation Engine as Qualitia.
The Test Set can be scheduled to execute at a particular date/time.
  9. To schedule the Test Set execution, select the desired date using Calendar in the Planned Date field.

    • While the Test Set execution is in progress, you can see a Play icon against the Test Set.
    • After successful completion of the Test Set, a Check Mark icon is displayed against the Test Set.
    • In case the Test Set execution fails, a Red Cross icon is displayed against the Test Set.
  10. After execution, refer to the Test Set in QST, and click Test Run tab.
  11. Check the latest Test Run for the Test Case Report.
  12. Go to Console Output section of the Test Case.
  13. Copy the URL updated in the details section and open it in the browser to view report.

    • To access reports saved on a server, report location should be shared with the machine where QEA is installed.
    • When QEA is launched, it does not update the Test Set list. You manually have to Force Poll to get the Test Set in the list or else wait for the next polling cycle.
    • If no Test Case is linked with the respective Test Set, Test Set will not be updated in the QEA list.
