Editing Objects

The application under test may undergo changes during its development life cycle. The object details or the object properties may change if developers modify the code or add new functions to the application. In such cases, you can edit an object. You can also edit the object details in case your test automation tool does not correctly identify the object. You can change the name, class, description, parent of the object, or modify the property name and property value of the object.

Qualitia allows its users to change the object properties as per the requirements in the application development life cycle. DP object properties can be updated from the Objects screen in Qualitia Automation Studio.  

To edit a DP object:

1. Select the object from the object tree on the Objects screen.
   Object details are then displayed in the right pane.
2. Click Edit.
3. Update the required fields.
   You can also add or remove object properties by clicking the Add or Remove buttons respectively.
4. Click OK.
   The object is saved with the revised fields or properties.
