Adding Acceptance Criteria and Activities

Once the story is created, Qualitia users can add acceptance criteria under that story. A story may contain one or multiple acceptance criteria depending upon the scope of the story.

Users can create acceptance criteria from two different locations; Qualitia Design Studio and Edit stories screen.

In order to prevent data loss, we recommend that only one user at a time must work on one acceptance criterion.

 To create acceptance criterion from the Edit Stories screen:
  1. Navigate to the story that you would like to be the parent story of the acceptance criterion you are about to create.

  2. Select More Create Acceptance Criterion
    A new screen appears.
    Here, ProjectEpic, and Story are pre-selected and are in non-editable mode.

  3. Enter Acceptance Criterion.

  4. In the acceptance criterion's Activities / Steps section, enter Activity NameDescription, and Expected Behavior.

    1. To add another activity, click the Add Activity button.

    2. To remove Activity, click the Delete button corresponding to the activity.

    3. To move Activity, use Up and Down button.
      (warning) When moving an activity, the entire set of steps added under that activity will be moved.

      Qualitia users can reuse the activities that are created previously. The same activity cannot be used in one acceptance criterion.

  5. To reuse the activity that is created previously, start typing the activity name and select from the auto-complete list.
    When reusing activities, all the steps inside that activity will also be reused. 
  6. Once an Activity is added, you can proceed to add steps to perform that activity.

  7. Enter Step NameDescription, and Expected Behavior.

    1. To add another step, click the Add Step button.

    2. To remove step, click the Delete button corresponding to the step.

    3. To move step, use Up and Down button.
      (warning) The sequence of the steps can be changed only inside an activity.   

 To create acceptance criterion from the Qualitia Design Studio screen:
  1. From the top menu items, click Qualitia.

  2. Select Project and Epic.
    The list of stories created under the selected Project and Epic is displayed.

  3. Click the + icon corresponding to the story under which you want to add the acceptance criterion.
    A new screen is displayed. 
    Here, Project, Epic, and Story are pre-selected and are in non-editable mode.

  4. Enter Acceptance Criterion.

  5. In the Acceptance Criterion's Activities / Steps section, enter Activity NameDescription, and Expected Behavior.

    1. To add another activity, click the Add Activity button.

    2. To remove Activity, click the Delete button corresponding to the activity.

    3. To move Activity, use Up and Down button.
