OV_📶Tester Dashboard

Using the Export option in Qualitia Automation Studio (QAS), you can send Test Execution Reports to MS Excel or Kingsoft Spreadsheet. When you click the Export button, the spreadsheet application opens with the report data on a spreadsheet or worksheet file.

Using Tester Dashboard

The Tester Dashboard, accessible to all except Project Managers, provides a visual overview of the status of your assigned projects. To access it, simply click the Dashboard button. The Tester Dashboard consists of the following three primary sections:

  1. Development: This panel provides a table displaying the current progress of test case development for each project. It also shows the Project Name, Test Cases To be Automated, Automated Test Cases, Percentage of Completed Automated Test Cases, Tasks, Start Date, and End Date. Refer to this section, if you want to check the progress of test cases that need to be automated.

  2. Execution: This panel shows a table with the details of execution schedules for test suites per project. The table consists of Projects, Schedule Name, Marked Test Cases, Status, and Trends. Refer to this section for tracking the execution of test cases and view the schedule and status of each test suite.

  3. Reports: This panel provides a list of the last five suite executions across projects. Here, you can view Project Name, Suite Name, Build, Release, Generation date, and Last execution status. Refer to this section to review the results of recent test executions.

Using Project Charts

Project Charts offer a high-level view of Test Development and Test Execution for your project.

To view Project Charts:

  1. Login to QAS - Client.

  2. Access Reports from left navigation and click Dashboard to see a list of projects.

  3. Double-click a project to open its Project Chart screen.

  4. The Project Chart screen is divided into two parts: a tree view of the project chart (on the left), and a detailed view (on the right). The tree view consists of three nodes: Execution, Development, and Trends.

 Execution Node:

In this screen, you can view graphs show execution trends for Suites and Scenarios.

  1. Suites: This shows a graph of the latest execution trend of all scenarios for a project, broken down by suite. You can filter the graph based on Scenarios, Build Number, and Release Number. Refer to this section to assess the execution performance of different test suites within your project.

  2. Scenarios: This shows a graph of the latest execution trend of all suites for a project, broken down by scenario. Filters are available based on Suite, Build Number, and Release Number. Refer to this section to understand how individual test scenarios are performing within your project.

Development Node

In this screen, you can view graphs showing Test Cases developed by Scenarios and Users as well as Tasks developed by each user.

  1. Test Cases by Scenarios: This shows a graph of the total test cases developed in each scenario.

  2. Test Cases by Users: This shows a graph of the total number of test cases developed by each user across all scenarios. You can apply filters based on Scenario.

  3. Tasks by Users: This shows a graph of the total number of tasks developed by each user.

Trends Node

In this screen, you can view Test Cases developed by Scenarios and Users as well as Tasks developed by each user.

  1. Suites: This displays a bar graph of the execution trend of test cases for the last five iterations of a project, suite-wise. You can apply filters based on Suites, Release, Build, and/or Iterations.

  2. Scenarios: This displays a scenario-wise graph of the execution trend of test cases for the last five iterations of a project. You can apply filters based on Scenarios, Suites, Release, Build, and/or Iterations.

  3. Change Status for Suites: This shows a graph of the trend for the execution status change for a test case between two iterations, suite-wise. Test cases that passed in the latest iteration but failed in the earlier iteration are highlighted in green. Test cases that failed in the latest iteration but passed in the earlier iteration are highlighted in red. You can apply filters based on Release and/or Build.

  4. Change Status for Scenarios: This shows a graph of the trend for the execution status change for a test case between two iterations, scenario-wise. Passed and failed test cases are highlighted just like in the 'Change Status for Suites'. Filters can be applied based on Release and/or Build.
