Understanding Sync Time
The Sync Time option provided in Qualitia plays a vital role when it comes to synchronisation of the speed of Application Under Test and Qualitia Automation Engine. At times, automation engine needs to wait for the number of reasons when executing the test case. Waits are required because of delays or lags in rendering of the objects in web pages or due to application behaviour.
At such times, you can control the flow using this sync time while executing the test case. As a tester, you may expect particular object or screen to appear from the application under test in specific time. If the object is not getting appeared within that time, Qualitia proceeds execution flow to the next steps. In this scenario, the time you want to wait for the object to appear is a sync time.
If the specified object appears before completing the Sync time, the test step is marked as pass and if the specified object does not appear before completing the Sync time, the test step is marked as fail.
This sync time applies for each and every step during the execution.
This Sync time can be specified in the associated execution profile or default execution profile. By default, sync time is set as 20 seconds, however, you may change it as based on the requirements of the application under test.
