Updating Automated Tasks and Test Cases

Qualitia allows you to update the the test cases from the Requirements section.

  • You can update tasks and test cases only if you have editing rights in the automation studio. Test cases and Tasks which are shared for Design updates cannot be updated in the automation studio unless they are shared back for automation from Qualitia Design Studio.
  • Only one user is allowed to work on one task or test case at a time. If the task/test case is being used by some other user, Qualitia displays an appropriate information message.

The lock sign prior to the test case/task name indicates that this test case is shared for design updates and cannot be updated from automation studio.

To update existing automation scripts:

  1. Log on to automation studio as an administrator user.
  2. Select the desired project and go to the Requirements section.
    You will find all the manual test cases in the left-pane.
  3. Filter the test cases/tasks based on Epics and Stories, as required.
  4. To update any test case, click the test case name in the left-pane.
    You can now edit this test case in the right-pane.
  5. Update steps, actions, objects and test data (as required) based on the test case requirements.
  6. Ensure you replace all the objects with real-time objects from the application under test as a test case with empty objects cannot be added for the suite execution.
  7. Click Save.
