Qualitia Design Studio lets users create a story for the application being tested.

Users can create stories using the same Create button located at the top bar in JIRA.

When creating a story from ViewAllStoriesPage, a story can be created after selecting Project and Epic. Stories created this way will directly be added into the selected Project and Epic.

To create new story from the ViewAllStrories page:

  1. From the top menu items, click Qualitia.

  2. Select Project and Epic using the drop-down lists.

  3. From the top menu items, click Create.
The Create Issue screen is displayed.
    In Issue Type, select Story.

  4. Select or enter other details such as Summary, Priority, Components, Description and so on.
(tick)Fields available on this screen are based on configuration. In case you want to add or remove fields from this screen, use Configure Fields option at the top right corner.
(info) If you do not find the Qualitia Automation check box option on the Configure Fields screen, configure your JIRA project to work with Qualitia Automation  Studio.

  5. If the story is completely ready to be imported into Qualitia Automation Studio, select Qualitia Automation Story check box.
(tick) Selecting this check box will make this story available for synchronization in Qualitia Automation Studio. It is recommended to select this checkbox after adding all the required business rules inside the story.

(warning) Once selected, this check box cannot be deselected and the sequence for Activities' and Steps' added under business rules also cannot be modified. However, you can add or remove business rules, activities, and steps even when the check box is selected.
  6. Click Create.

Once a story is created, a user can add business rules and activities to the story.

When linking stories to epics, make sure you are linking it to the epic of that same JIRA project.
