QAS Client Prerequisites for Windows

Here’s a list of hardware and software requirements for windows before you can get started.

Hardware Requirements

  1. Processor: Intel Core i5 64-bit or equivalent server processor and higher

  2. RAM: 16 GB or higher  

  3. Disk Space: 500 GB or more  

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System: 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 or later.

  2. Java:
    Azul Zulu: 11.0.21 or higher
    Oracle: 17 or higher
    OpenJDK: 11.0.22 or higher  

  3. Android Studio: Arctic Fox (2020.3.1) and above (applicable only for Mobile automation)

  4. UFT: 2021 and above (applicable only for Desktop projects)

Local Administrator privileges

QAS Client Prerequisites for Mac

Here’s a list of hardware and software requirements before you can get started.

Hardware Requirements

  1. Processor: MacBook Pro (Intel based) 2019 and later, MacBook Pro (ARM based) M1 and later

  2. RAM: 16 GB or higher  

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System: macOS 12 and later

  2. Xcode: Versions 14.2 and 15 (applicable only for Mobile automation)

  3. Android Studio: Version 2020.3.1 and above (applicable only for Mobile automation)

  4. Java:
    Azul Zulu: 11.0.21 or higher
    Oracle: 17 or higher
    OpenJDK: 11.0.22 or higher

VM Prerequisite

This section outlines the client prerequisites for configuring a virtual machine (VM) environment.

QAS Client Prerequisite for Windows VM

Hardware Requirements

  1. Processor: 12vCPU and higher

  2. RAM: 16 GB or higher

  3. Disk Space: 100 GB or more (SSD)

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System:
    Windows: 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 or later
    Mac: macOS 12 or later
    Linux: 64-bit Oracle Linux Server 9.2
    64-bit Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS

  2. Java:
    Azul Zulu: 11.0.21 or higher
    Oracle: 17 or higher
    OpenJDK: 11.0.22 or higher    

  3. UFT: 2021 and above (applicable only for Desktop projects)

QAS Prerequisite for Single Offline Web Execution

Hardware Requirements

  1. Processor: 4vCPU and higher

  2. RAM: 8 GB or higher

  3. Disk Space: 100 GB (SSD or high-speed HDD)

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System:
    Windows: 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 or later
    Mac: macOS 12 or later
    Linux: 64-bit Oracle Linux Server 9.2
    64-bit Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS

  2. Java:
    Azul Zulu: 11.0.21 or higher
    Oracle: 17 or higher
    OpenJDK: 11.0.22 or higher  

QAS Prerequisite for Parallel Offline Web Execution

Hardware Requirements

  1. Processor: 4vCPU and higher

  2. RAM: 16 GB or higher

  3. Disk Space: 100 GB (SSD or high-speed HDD)

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System:
    Windows: 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 or later
    Mac: macOS 12 or later
    Linux: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS or later

  2. Java:
    Azul Zulu: 11.0.21 or higher
    Oracle: 17 or higher
    OpenJDK: 11.0.22 or higher  

Java Development Kit (JDK) Prerequisite

Qualitia recommends using the 64-bit JDK versions of Java 11 or higher on which Qualitia Automation Studio (QAS) has been tested successfully.

The recommended versions are:

We recommend Oracle 17 as Oracle 11 has several vulnerabilities.

Qualitia allows you to install QAS using other JDK versions also. However, only the versions listed above are tested. If you use any other version, you may face issues while executing test cases.

 Issue: Not able to open the Qualitia Offline Configuration window by clicking QualitiaOfflineConfigManager- file from the Configuration Manager folder.

Solution: This issue occurs when you have multiple Java versions installed on the machine and the correct version is not selected. To resolve this error, select correct Java version by following the below steps:

  • Go to Properties > system env variable -> Java path.

  • Change the Java system as per to the path used in Qualitia - Client.
