Updating Qualitia Automation Studio - Server can be done in using the below approach:

  1. From the location where your workspace exists, navigate to the folder called workspace>data and open the settings.yaml file.

  2. In this file you can see two options for AutoUpdate:

    1. QASInstallerLink: This will be a URL where you can pull the latest update.

    2. QASinstallerDownloadInterval: This is a numeric field and is in hours. Based on the interval set, Qualitia Automation Studio in the server will poll Qualitia to check for updates. By default this is set to a max 12 hours, which means for every 12 hours Qualitia server will be polled for updates. The interval starts from the time QAS server is installed in your machine.

  3. If there is an update available, then the update zip file will be available at workspace > installerUpdates folder.

  4. Once an update is available in the folder, QAS Server portal will show an Auto-Update banner “Qualitia Server 9.x.x available.” with an Update button.

  5. Once you click Update, you will be promoted to confirm the Update, click Continue, if you had accidentally clicked, click Cancel.

  6. You will be directed to a server-update-in-progress page which would give you a estimated time to complete the update process.

  7. Once installation is complete, you will be directed to the Setup page for QAS Server portal.

Prerequisite: Active internet on the QAS server and permission to poll the installer link.

In order to run the update, you need to have admin privileges.

No QAS client logins should be connected to the QAS Server.

In case of permission or internet access issue, you will have to manually download the file from the link we provide you and paste it in installerUpdates folder.

In case of a failure, the updates folder which would have been backed up before the start of the installation, would be restored to avoid any loss.
