Over the course of time, in a project, many user stories might contain a large number of test cases. Searching and filtering test cases make it comprehensive to find the right test case during critical times.

You can find a test case by name or apply different filters, or use both options simultaneously.

To search test cases:

  1. Click on the desired project name under which the test case exists.

  2. From the top menu items, click the Test cases menu.

  3. Type few words of a test case name to find the relevant test cases, in Test Case name search.

  4. You can use the following additional filter criteria:

    1. Priority: From P1 to P4, you can select multiple priorities to get the relevant test cases.

    2. Severity: From S1 to S4, you can select multiple severities to get the relevant test cases.

    3. Execution Status: You can find test cases by selecting multiple test case statuses - Passed, Failed, Defect, and Not Executed.

    4. Shared for Automation: Click it to find the test cases which are shared for automation.

    5. More Filters: You can click this icon to filter test cases as per different issue types:

      1. Epics: Under Epics, you can select one or more epics by selecting their respective checkboxes.

      2. User Stories: Under User Stories, you can select one or more user stories by selecting their respective checkboxes.

Points to Know:

  • By default, up to 5 epics and user stories are displayed. Click the View All link to view all the respective issues. For example, under Epic, if you click View All, you will view all the epics.

  • You can click More Filters again to hide using the additional option.

  • You can click Clear All link to remove all the filters applied.
