You can schedule a recurring test suite execution at a specific time, which can be daily, weekly, or monthly. You can execute on a local, remote, or cloud environment.

To schedule a suite execution:

  1. Click Execute.
    The Suite screen is displayed.
  2. Click the suite to be executed from the left pane.
    Right pane displays all the test cases under the selected suite.
  3. From the Execution Profile list, select an execution profile.
    Note: If you do not select an execution profile, it uses System Execution Profile to execute on the local environment only. 
  4. Click Schedule.
    The Schedule List screen is displayed. In the Schedule list, details such as Schedule Name, Type, Created by, Created on, and Host Name are displayed.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Add Build No. and Release No. in their respective fields. Select Start Date and Start Time. Select Type daily, weekly, or monthly. Choose Day or Days.
    The schedule will start suite executions based on the values set for the start date and start time. Further, the runs will be performed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis based on the schedule created for a specific suite.
  7. Do one of the following:
    1. Daily: Select the Every Day button for daily, or select Every button and specify the frequency gap in terms of days.
    2. Weekly: Select specific days of a week.
    3. Monthly: Select a specific date of a month along with appropriate month checkbox. Or, select a specific day of a week along with appropriate month checkboxes, such as every first Monday of January, February, and March.
  8. Click OK.
    In the Schedule list, you will see the newly added schedule.

    If the test case is to be executed on the mobile device (emulator or physical device), ensure that the Appium server is up and running when the execution is to be started.

    The test suite executes on the defined times as per the Default Execution Profile as defined on your Qualitia Client. For instructions on how to Mark an Execution Profile as Default, refer to Working with Execution Profiles#Marking-an-Execution-Profile-as-Default.   

You can edit or remove the schedule.

  • To edit, select the schedule and click Edit and make changes.
    You will notice the changes in the schedule.
  • To remove, select the schedule and click Remove.
    The schedule is removed.
