Create a New Test Case

Qualitia Design Studio allows to create new test cases to validate the business requirements as mentioned in the story synchronized from Atlassian JIRA.

Test cases once created in Qualitia Design Studio, then can be published for automation.

To create new test case:

  1. Sign in to Qualitia Design Studio and in the projects section, click on the desired project name under which you want to create test case.
  2. From the top menu items, click Test cases.
  3. To create new test case, click the  icon.
    A new test case screen appears. You can update epic and stories from this screen too.
  4. Select the Jira hierarchy and enter the test case name and its description.
  5. Select Severity and Priority based on the requirements and then click Done.
    Now you can add tasks, steps and objects in the test case. 
    (info) In Qualitia you cannot save an empty test case.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • To select tasks from the existing task library, start typing the task name and select a task from the list shown.
    • To add new task, enter task name and add steps using the add step (+) icon.
      A task cannot be empty.
  7. Click Save.
