Qualitia allows automatically creating issues in JIRA for the test cases which have defects. Defects get added in JIRA after the completion of suite execution. You can achieve this by configuring a few settings.
Qualitia seamlessly integrates with JIRA and allows synchronising requirements from Qualitia Design Studio (a JIRA add-on). Qualitia links defects to the same JIRA story from where the requirements are synchronized.
This happens only if the JIRA project is same for synchronizing requirements and adding defects.
Prerequisites:
- Valid JIRA Account
- Privileges to Create Issues and Create Attachments in JIRA
Enabling Auto-Mode
In order to auto-enable creating issues for the test cases that have defects, you must configure settings accordingly.
Important Notes
- Qualitia creates defects for each iteration separately.
- Qualitia creates defect only when the test case status is Defect. If test case has steps with both the statuses (failed and defect), test case status is reported as failed, hence, issue will not be created in JIRA.
To automatically create issues in JIRA:
- Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio.
- On the Setting menu, click Configuration Settings.
- Under the Defect section, ensure all the necessary details are entered like JIRA URL, Atlassian Account, and so on.
- Select Auto-mode.
Issues will now be automatically logged into Atlassian JIRA after the completion of test suites.
For easy identification, issues created in JIRA are labeled as Qualitia.
