Importing Requirements from Qualitia Design Studio
Synchronizing stories and epics with Qualitia Automation Studio brings the test architecture prepared using Qualitia Design Studio (JIRA) into Qualitia Automation Studio. After synchronization, testers can start adding tasks and test cases based on the activities planned and observe the business rule validations.
Please note that stories are available for synchronization only when they are marked to be synchronized in Qualitia Design Studio.
To import requirements from Qualitia Design Studio:
- Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio.
- Navigate to Develop or Execute tab.
- Click Sync JIRA.
When syncing for the first time, you need to enter JIRA credentials as follows:- Enter JIRA URL.
- Enter the JIRA User ID.
- Enter the JIRA Password.
- Click Connect.
- Select Project from the drop-down list.
- Select Epics to be synced from the drop-down list.
- Click Sync.
- System notifies after the sync is completed successfully. Click OK.
The JIRA credentials need to be added only when synchronizing for the first time. Qualitia saves these details for subsequent syncs.
This page may also occur in case of any network failure.
Subsequent Sync
Qualitia users can update the requirements (add or delete Business Rules, Activities, and Steps) in JIRA even after the story is synchronized with Automation Studio.
Updated requirements will reflect in Automation Studio after subsequent synchronization.
To sync subsequently:
- Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio.
- Navigate to Develop or Execute tab, click the Sync JIRA.
Epics selected previously will remain selected. You can select more epics to sync. - Click Sync.
A Change Log Review window appears explaining changes being synced from Qualitia Design Studio. - Review the report carefully.
- To merge all the changes with the existing requirements,click OK.
- To continue working with requirements without merging changes, click Cancel.
After subsequent synchronization, Stories, business rules, and activities removed from the Qualitia Design Studio will be displayed in red font in the Automation Studio for easy identification.
