Qualitia recommends to use one of the following Qualitia certified JRE versions on which regression testing for QAS has been successful:
If you use QAS on the unrecommended JRE versions, you may get unexpected results. Although the Qualitia Support Team helps even if you use an unrecommended JRE version, but the team may take time to resolve the issues.
Similarly, Qualitia does not recommend to use Java version higher than Java 8. If you install Java version higher than Java 8 such as Java 9 or Java 11, then QAS may not work as expected.
Azul Java (Recommended)
Qualitia recommends to use Azul Java for the following reasons:
Free and open source (OpenJDK-based distributions with no field of use restriction)
Azul Java Development Kits and Java runtimes are certified fully compliant with the Java platform, Standard Edition (Java SE) specifications.
Azul provides optional paid commercial support in affordable price range compare to Oracle.

AdoptOpenJDK
The following features of AdoptOpenJDK are:
100% free and open source OpenJDK-based distribution.
AdoptOpenJDK builds are not TCK compliant.
AdoptOpenJDK provides rock-solid OpenJDK and Eclipse OpenJ9 (with OpenJDK class libraries) binaries for the Java ecosystem and also provides infrastructure as code, and a Build farm for builders of OpenJDK and Eclipse OpenJ9 (with OpenJDK class libraries), on any platform.
Oracle
The following features of Oracle JDK are:
Proprietary JDK based on OpenJDK and is no longer available to download for free.
Oracle offers JDKs for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris OSs, but has dropped support for 32-bit runtimes since Java 9. Oracle
