OV_Launching ObjectSpy
As an Automation Tester, you may use the ObjectSpy tool in Qualitia Automation Studio (QAS) to add new objects or view existing ones. This tool is pivotal for your test cases as it allows you to identify and select the specific elements you want to interact with in your automated tests.
📚Prerequisites
User must have access to QAS - Client.
User must have “Manage Objects “privileges to access ObjectSpy.
Before launching ObjectSpy, ensure that your computer's anti-virus software doesn't prevent its operation. If you encounter difficulties, you need to whitelist the ObjectSpy's extension in your anti-virus software.
Launching ObjectSpy from the Object Screen
Here's how to launch the ObjectSpy from the Object Screen:
Login to QAS - Client. <insert Screenshot>
Access Develop from left navigation of your QAS - Client. <insert screenshot>
Click Objects tab icon from the right side of the screen.
A slide-out panel will appear where the existing objects will be listed.
Click Configure.
A popup will appear, where
You can select the Browser.
Enter the URL for the application under test.
Click Save
To launch the ObjectSpy click Launch ObjectSpy.
This action will launch the browser and open the URL entered in 6.a. If the URL is empty a user guide page will appear on the browser.
Once browser is opened press CTRL+F12 to open the Developer tools.
In the top Navigation mention menu of the browser's developer tool, click >> to view Qualitia ObjectSpy.
Launching ObjectSpy from Test Case and Task Screen
To launch ObjectSpy from the Test Case or Task Screen:
Right click on the Test Case or Task screen.
From the context menu that appears, select ObjectSpy.
