Cloning a Task

Cloning a tasks lets you quickly replicate tasks. It is the replica of the original task and has independent existence. Updates made to this task does not impact original task and vice versa.

An Administrator, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Lead or Tester users have privileges to clone tasks.  

To clone a task:

1. Sign in to Qualitia Design Studio and in the projects section, click on the desired project name under which the test case exists.
2. From the top menu items, click Assets > Tasks.
   On the tasks screen, all the existing tasks are listed and displayed in the left pane.
3. Select the task which you want to clone.
4. Click the menu options () next to the Save button and select Clone.
5. By default, the Task Name field of a cloned task is prefixed with the string 'CLONE - ' to indicate that the task is cloned. 
   You can update the name based on the requirements.
6. Click Clone.
