Install the Mobile Object Spy Components
Qualitia Mobile Object Spy contains multiple components. You can install the components mentioned below on the same machine or different machines as per the requirements.
After installing Qualitia Mobile Server and Mobile Agent, you can start using Qualitia Mobile Recorder and Mobile Object Spy.
Pre-Requisites
Before you start installing Mobile Agent or Mobile Server, you must first configure the Macintosh or Windows machine to work with real devices, emulators, or simulators.Â
On the Macintosh machine, you must have

Installing the Mobile Server
You must first install the Mobile server on any machine in the network. This can be any Windows or Macintosh system.Â
All the Qualitia clients should have access to port 4001 from the machine where you are installing Qualitia Mobile server.
To install the Mobile Server:
Navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the Qualitia Components Installers.
Do one of the following:
To install on a Windows machine,
Navigate to the following location:
Mobile\Windows\ServerCopy the QualitiaWDMobileServer.exe to any temporary location of the Windows machine.
To install on a Macintosh machine
Navigate to the following location:
Mobile\Mac\ServerCopy the QualitiaMobileObjectSpyServer.pkg to any temporary location of the Macintosh machine
Double-click the file (QualitiaWDMobileServer.exe or QualitiaMobileObjectSpyServer.pkg) to install.
Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the installation procedure.
To confirm the installation, do one of the following:
Go to services console and check whether the Qualitia.Mobile.Service is running (for Windows only).
You can try accessing Mobile Server using Server URL in any browser.
Server URL is a combination of hostname/IP of the machine where the Qualitia Mobile Object Spy server is installed along with the port 4001.
Sample URL may look like: http://192.168.25.77:4001 or http://localhost:4001.
Installing a Mobile Agent
After you install Qualitia Mobile server, you can install Mobile agent and connect mobile devices or simulators/emulators to identify and add objects from mobile applications. This can be any Windows or Macintosh system with all the prerequisites installed for mobile application testing. All Qualitia clients should have access to port 4001 from the machine where you are installing Qualitia Mobile server. You can install multiple mobile agents (on different machines in the same network) connecting to single mobile server.
To install a Mobile Agent:
Navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the Qualitia Components Installers.
Do one of the following:
To install a mobile agent on a Windows machine
Navigate to the following location:
Mobile\Windows\AgentCopy the QualitiaWDMobileAgent.exe to any temporary location on the Windows machine.
To install a mobile agent on a Macintosh machine
Navigate to the following location:
Mobile\Mac\AgentCopy the QualitiaMobileObjectSpyAgent.pkg to any temporary location on the Macintosh machine.
Double-click the file (QualitiaWDMobileAgent.exe or QualitiaMobileObjectSpyAgent.pkg) to install.
Follow the onscreen instructions and complete the installation procedure.Â
Do one of the following:
To confirm the installation on the Windows machine, from the desktop, double-click the Mobile Agent icon (), and then open the notification area to check whether it contains the Mobile Agent icon ( ).Â
To confirm the installation on the Macintosh machine, open the top menu bar (notification area) to check whether it contains the Mobile Agent icon ().
You can now click the Mobile Agent icon () to configure the Mobile Agent. For instructions on how to configure a Mobile Agent, refer to Configuring a Mobile Agent.
