Synchronizing Shared Repository Objects

Once you add / update objects in the tsr file, you must synchronize it in Qualitia to ensure having the latest set of objects required for test case developments and executions. The Sync TSR button helps synchronizing and getting the latest set of objects from the tsr file. This button is available on Develop and Execute screens in Qualitia.
Before merging objects from the tsr file, Qualitia validates them with existing set of objects and generates report based on the changes done in the tsr file. The report displays the list of objects that are added, moved, renamed, or removed from the tsr file. It will also display the not supported objects separately for easy identification.
To sync objects with Qualitia:
- Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio.
- Click the Sync TSR button available in the Develop and Execute tabs.
- A dialogue box opens. Do the following:
- To view the summary of Sync operation, click Summary Change.
- To preview the report of modified objects, click Preview.
- To merge new set of objects with existing object repository without preview, click Proceed.
- To cancel the sync operation, click Abort.
It is recommended to preview the summary report carefully.
- Once you have previewed the report, do one of the following;
- To merge new objects in with the existing object repository, click Proceed.
- To cancel the sync operation, click Abort. In case the application under test consist some non-English characters as object names, CSV may not be able to display it properly.
- If user has added in any non-supported objects in tsr, Qualitia displays such objects in the report before synchronization.
- On the Objects screen, you can view the complete information of objects including last date and time when the object was updated and synchronized from tsr.
- In case multiple users are using same tsr file at the same time, any one user can click Sync TSR and other users will automatically get the updated set of objects available in tsr.
- When any one user is synchronizing objects, other users will not be able to click Sync TSR.
