☸Set Up the Reports and Dashboards Portal

A Web Dashboard is a handy tool that shows you how your project is doing. It lets you check out the results of test cases run in the Qualitia Automation Studio QAS) for different apps (Web, Mobile, or Desktop).

You can either set up the Dashboard when you are installing or upgrading the Qualitia Server, or you can do it after you have completed the installation or upgrade. Remember, QAS uses an extra database (apart from the master and project databases) to manage the dashboard data.

To set up the Reports and Dashboards Portal:

  1. Go to the machine where you have installed the Qualitia Server.

  2. Open the Qualitia Server (double-click on the icon) to view the Qualitia Setup Wizard.

  3. Click Next to go to the Database Server Details screen.

  4. Again, click Next.

  5. Choose Enable Dashboard.

  6. Enter the Name of the Dashboard database

  7. Click Next again.

  8. Click Install.

 You can now see your dashboards from the Dashboard section of the QAS clients or using the dashboard URL on any browser on any machine on your network.

The URL for the Reports and Dashboard portal includes the Hostname/IP:Port from the machine where Qualitia Server is installed, followed by the login page URL, which is, qualitia/sign-in. The default port number is 8887, which you can change while installing the Qualitia Server.

Here's what the URL might look like:

  • http://192.168.25.x22x:8887/qualitia/sign-in

  • http://localhost:8887/qualitia/sign-in

Login to start using the Dashboard. Once you are in, you can see options to go to the following portals based on your user role.

  1. Web Dashboards: View and analyze the test case results for different apps.

  2. Real-time Reporting: Monitor the progress of your project in real time.

  3. Server Administration portals: Manage server settings and user roles.

This setup is simple and essential for any SDET who wants to effectively monitor and manage their project.
