(8.3.X) Qualitia Healthcheck Utility

The Qualitia Healthcheck utility checks if the Qualitia components installed on the Qualitia Server and the Qualitia Client are functioning properly. It performs a set of post-installation checks to ensure that the Qualitia components are installed and working properly. If the Qualitia components are not installed on your computer, the Healthcheck utility performs pre-installation checks and suggests if the computer is suitable to install Qualitia components.
The Healthcheck utility reports the passed checks, failed checks, and actions recommended to fix the issues. You can also export the report as a text file.

Accessing the Qualitia Healthcheck Utility

Perform the following steps to access the Qualitia Healthcheck Utility.

To access the Qualitia Healthcheck Utility:

  1. Open the Qualitia Installation Package.

  2. Under the QualitiaHealthcheckUtility folder, run the QualitiaHealthCheck.exe.
    The Qualitia Healthcheck Utility opens on your computer.

Performing a Healthcheck on the Qualitia Server

If Qualitia Server is already installed, the Healthcheck utility performs the post-installation checks. Else, it performs the pre-installation checks.

To perform a health check on the Qualitia Server:

  1. Open the Qualitia Healthcheck Utility.

  2. Select the Server and click Continue.
    The Utility verifies whether the Qualitia Server is installed on your computer.

  3. Under Database Details, enter the following database connection details to connect with the Qualitia Server.

    1. Type: Lets you select the database type, MySQL or SQL Server.

    2. Server: Port: Lets you specify the database server address along with its Port Id. The default Port Id for MySQL is 3306 and for SQL Server is 1433.

    3. Database Name: Lets you specify the Master Database name.

    4. Authentication: Lets you authenticate to the SQL Server using Windows credentials. 

    5. User Name: Lets you specify the username to connect with the database.

    6. Password: Lets you specify the password to connect with the database.
      Note: For the pre-installation checks, you can select the Skip Check checkbox to skip the checks related to database.

  4. Enter the Qualitia Server URL to verify its address, in Change the Qulaitia Server host/IP, If needed. Or, you can select the associated Skip Check checkbox, if you do not want to verify Qualitia Server URL address.

  5. Click Start Run to perform the checks.
    As the checks are performed, the passed and failed checks are displayed.

Service denotes Qualitia Web Service, which is essential for test suite executions.

Configuration denotes the settings as defined in Qualitia Configuration Settings

All others are pre-requisites. For more information on Qualitia Server pre-requisites, refer to .

 

  1. After all the checks are done, click Get Report to save the report as a text file.

  2. Click Finish.

Performing a Healthcheck on a Qualitia Client

If Qualitia Client is already installed, the HealthCheck utility performs the post-installation checks. Else, it performs the pre-installation checks.

To perform a health check on a Qualitia Client:

  1. Open the Qualitia Healthcheck Utility.

  2. Select the Client and click Continue.
    The Utility finds whether a Qualitia client is installed on your computer.

  3. Under Database Details, enter the database connection details to which you want to connect with the Qualitia Client.

    1. Type: Lets you select the database type, MySQL or SQL Server.

    2. Server: Port: Lets you specify the database server address along with its Port Id. The default Port Id for MySQL is 3306 and for SQL Server is 1433.

    3. Database Name: Lets you specify the Master Database name.

  4. Click Start Run to perform the checks.
    As the checks are performed, the passed and failed checks are displayed.
    For post-installation checks, it checks one project at a time and shows the checks for each project separately.
