For more information about new features released in the newer version of Qualitia, refer to the Release Notes section. 

If you are using Qualitia v3.14, you can upgrade to Qualitia for Web and Mobile v4.1.0.

Prerequisites

In order to upgrade to the latest version, you need to set up an environment.  

• Back up the Qualitia server database.
• Identify the File Server and create a folder to keep all the Qualitia Installable. The same folder you can use in future to keep Update Packages. All the Qualitia users should have Read Access to this folder. 
  
  

Upgrading Qualitia Server

When upgrading to a new version of Qualitia, you must first ensure that you have taken a back up of your database. Upgrading Qualitia includes upgrading Qualitia Server and upgrading Qualitia client.

To upgrade Qualitia Server:

1. Open the folder on Flie Server where you have kept Qualitia Installable.

2. Open the Server folder.

   Executing Setup.exe from file server may take longer time. Therefore, it is recommended to copy Setup.exe on the local temporary folder.

   
   

3. Double-click Setup.exe.
4. System will ask for permission to run the application, click Yes.
   The Welcome screen is displayed.
5. Click Next.
6. As you are already using previous version of Qualitia, system will notify to upgrade to the latest version. Click OK.
7. A Project Details screen is displayed with all the existing list of projects. Click Next.
   The Database Server Details screen is displayed.

8. Enter the Database details.

   Fields	Description
   Database Type	Select the database (MySQL or MSSQL) from the drop-down list.
   Server	Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the database server.
   Port	Enter the Pot number of the database server. Default is 3306 for MySQL and 1433 for SQLServer.
   Database Name	Enter the database name.
   Authentication (for SQLServer only)	Select authentication mode. SqlServer Authentication: Login with SQL Server user account (Enter User ID and Password) Windows Authentication: Login with Windows account.
   User ID	Enter the database server user ID.
   Password	Enter the database server password.

   
   

9. Click Next.
   The Admin User Details screen is displayed.

10. Enter the Admin User Credentials here. 

    Fields	Description
    Admin User ID	Enter the user ID of the Qualitia Administrator user.
    Password	Enter the password of the Qualitia Administrator user.
    Confirm Password	Enter the password again for confirmation.

    
    

11. Click Next.
    The Qualitia Update Location screen is displayed.

    Qualitia update location is the network shared location where Qualitia will look for update packages. Qualitia Admin should copy Qualitia update packages, when they are available, in the respective folders. Users can use the same folders that are created in Prerequisites. All the Qualitia users should have Read Access to these folders.

    
    

12. Enter the details as follows:

    Fields	Description
    Server	Enter the location where Qualitia will check for server updates.
    Client	Enter the location where Qualitia will check for client updates.

    
    

13. Click Next.
    The Confirm Installation screen is displayed.
14. Click Install.
    The installation will get started and after a successful installation, the Installation Complete screen is displayed.
15. Click Finish to exit the setup wizard.
    
    

Upgrading Qualitia Client

Once the Administrator user upgrades the Qualitia Server, other users can proceed to upgrade Qualitia client.

To upgrade Qualitia client:

1. Open the folder on Flie Server where you have kept Qualitia Installable.

2. Open the Client folder.

   Executing Setup.exe from file server may take longer time. Therefore, it is recommended to copy Setup.exe on the local temporary folder.

   
   

3. Double-click Setup.exe.

4. System will ask for permission to run the application, click Yes.

   If you have not uninstalled the previous version of Qualitia, system will uninstall it with prior notification.

   The Qualitia QTP Installer screen is displayed.

5. Once you have reviewed Qualitia License Agreement, select Yes, I accept the terms…, and then click Next.
6. Once installed successfully, click Finish.
   You can now start working with Qualitia.
7. To launch Qualitia, double-click the Qualitia icon on your desktop.
