You can delete the test case which is no longer required. After you delete the test case, all the tasks from this test case are detached. You can access these tasks from the Assets > Tasks section.

All the roles except guest have the privilege to delete a test case.

A test case once deleted, cannot be retrieved.

You cannot delete the test case from Qualitia Design Studio once it is shared for automation.

Once shared for automation, all the rights to modify and delete are transferred to Qualitia Automation Studio. A Design Studio user can request control on the test case from Automation Studio to modify or delete the test case in Qualitia Design Studio.

To delete a test case:

  1. Click the desired project name under which the test case exists.

  2. From the top menu items, click the Test Cases menu.

  3. Apply Filters to find the test case you want to delete. For more details, refer to Searching Test Cases.

  4. In the Test Cases table, you can delete in the following two ways:

    1. Directly Deleting a Test Case:

      1. From the list of test cases, click the delete icon of the test case you want to delete.

      2. A confirmation dialog appears displaying the impact of deleting the test case on coverage, if any.

      3. Click Yes to delete the test case

    2. By Opening a Test Case:

      1. Open the test case that you want to delete.

      2. Click the menu options () next to the Share for Automation button, and select Delete.

      3. A confirmation dialog appears displaying the impact of deleting the test case on coverage, if any.

In case the test case is earlier synced with automation studio, deleting this test case will also delete it from the automation studio.
