Before you get started with application testing, you must install the HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) tool on your Windows computer. Its Object Repository Manager lets you create and manage the shared object repository.

On your Windows computer:

  • Ensure that you select the technology under which your application under test is developed when you launch HP UFT.
  • Ensure that you have enabled HP UFT add-ons on your execution browsers (IE and Firefox).
  • Once you have created the shared object repository, make sure you map it with project in Qualitia where you want to use these objects.
  • Before you start developing test cases and tasks, make sure you have synchronized the shared object repository.
