Qualitia has a client-server architecture. Qualitia server acts as a connection point for multiple Qualitia clients. This server should be up and running all the time and should be accessible by Qualitia Clients.

QAS Server Prerequisites for Windows

Here’s a list of hardware and software requirements for windows before you can get started.

Hardware Requirements

Installer File Size: Approximately 3 GB  

  1. Processor: Intel Core i5 64-bit

supported processor with 3.4 GHz or higher speed

  1. or equivalent server processor and higher

  2. RAM: 16 GB or higher  

  3. Disk Space: 500 GB or more  

Software Requirements

  1. Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 10x or later. Only 64-bit version of the following operating systems are supported.

  2. Server: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and later.

  • Java: Java 8 (JRE 1.8) or higher  

  • .NET Framework: .NET Framework 4.6 or higher  

    1. GIT: 2.39

    2. VC: VC++ 2015 or above

    Privileges Required

    Local Administrator privileges (for installation of Qualitia Server)

    Communication Ports TCP (Inbound)

    The following list indicates the communication ports for each component:

    8889: Qualitia License Service

    8887: Qualitia Web Service

    Following steps are to be performed to setup a group policy on Windows Server OS.

    1. In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to Console Root > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components and locate Windows Installer.

    2. Double-click Windows Installer.

    3. Double-click Turn Off Windows Installer. The Turn Off Windows Installer window opens.

    4. Select Enabled.

    5. In the Disable Windows Installer dialog box, select Never.

    6. Finally, click OK.

    Here’s a list of hardware and software requirements for Linux before you can get started.

    Hardware Requirements

    1. Processor: Intel Core i5 64-bit or Equivalent server processor and above

    2. RAM: 16 GB or higher  

    3. Disk Space: 500 GB or more (SSD), 10 GB or more for /opt folder, and 10 GB or more for /tmp folder 

    Software Requirements

    1. Operating System: 64-bit version of RED HAT 9.0 or later. 64-bit Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or later.

    2. GIT: 2.39 or above

    Privileges Required

    Local Administrator privileges (for installation of Qualitia Server)
