Prerequisites

In order to use Qualitia Design Studio, you need the following:

• JIRA Server 7.4.1 and above

• Qualitia Automation Studio for Web and Mobile 5.0.0 and above
• Privileges to Use Qualitia Design Studio in JIRA
Admin role to the project you are working in Qualitia Automation Studio
• Administrative privileges to JIRA

 For best user experience, we recommend using Google Chrome (version 62version 62.0 and 0 and above) or Mozilla Firefox (version 56version 56.0 and above).

Installing Qualitia Design Studio

To install Qualitia Design Studio:

1. Download Design Studio (a JIRA Plug-in) from here

   Ensure you have activated license for Qualitia Design Studio.

2. Ensure you have installed Qualitia Automation Studio 5.2 or above.

3. Ensure Qualitia Server is up and running.

4. Ensure communication port 8889 is open and accessible from the machine where Qualitia Server is installed.

5. Log on to your JIRA instance as an administrator user.

6. Click the Administration (Image Modified) icon and select Add-Ons from the list.
   The Administrator Access screen appears. 

7. Enter JIRA Admin credentials.
   The Find new add-ons screen appears.

8. In the left pane, click Manage Add-ons.

9. Click Upload Add-on.
   Select the .jar file provided by Qualitia.

10. A confirmation dialog informs you that the installation was successful and that the add-on is enabled.

11. Hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R) the browser to see the changes related to Qualitia Design Studio.

 By default, the administrator user has permission to access Qualitia Design Studio.  Administrator can then provide access to other users to use Qualitia Design Studio.
