Adding a DP Object
Perform the following steps to add a DP object.
To add a DP object:
Open the desktop project in which you want to add DP objects.
Go to Click Develop > Objects.
Click In the left pane, click the DP object tree node.
In the right pane, click the New button.
The New screen dialog box appears.Do the following in the order listed:
Select a parent object.
Enter Object Name and Description.
Select Technology and Object Class.
Click Add button.
Double-click the property field to add a an object property and its associated property value.
Click OK to save the details.

If you do not define any object property along with its value, the object is highlighted in red color. Such objects are termed as empty objects. |
Editing a DP Object
Perform the following steps to edit a DP object.
To edit a DP object:
Open the desktop project in which that contains the DP object you want to edit DP objects.
Go to Click Develop > Objects.
Click In the left pane, click the DP object tree node.
In the right pane, click the Edit button.Edit the object attributes

Deleting the DP Objects
Perform Please note the following steps to before you delete the DP objects from Qualitia.
any DP object:
You cannot
delete an object that is used in a task or a test case
If you
delete a parent object, then all its child objects are also removed.
Upon removal, the object is no longer available for use. The object is also removed from the Object Repository.
You cannot delete a parent object if one of its child objects is used in a task or a test case.
You cannot delete two child objects that are present under different parent objects simultaneously.
To delete the DP objects:
Open the desktop project in which that contains the DP object that you want to delete DP objects.
Go to Click Develop > Objects.
Click In the left pane, click the DP object tree node.
Select the parent of the object for which you want to remove its child objects.
In the right pane, select a child object that you want to delete.
If Press Ctrl and click all the objects that you want to delete more objects, Press Ctrl and select other objects.
Click Remove.
The deleted objects are highlighted in red color along with an exclamatory mark.
You can replace the deleted objects in the associated test cases with another objects. To know the associated test cases for the deleted objects, refer to Viewing Associated Test Cases for an Object.
Importing DP Objects from a tsr or bdb file
You can import multiple DP objects in a single instance by using tsr or bdb file for the objects created through UFTDP objects that are created using UFT into Qualitia Automation Studio. Simply export the DP objects on UFT as a tsr or a bdb file and import the file in Qualitia Automation Studio.

To import objects using bdb or tsr from a tsr or a bdb file:
Open the desktop project in which you want to import the DP objects.
Go to Click Develop > Objects.
Click In the left pane, click the DP object tree node.
Click the Import button to locate the saved (bdb or tsr) file to import DP objects Import.
Locate the tsr or bdb file that you want to import and click OK.
If object the importing of DP objects fails, then Qualitia displays error messages. You can know the reason of failure in To troubleshoot the importing errors, see the Import_Log.txt log file , which is present located in the following location:
