Dashboard

Exclusive to roles with project management privileges, the Manager The Dashboard is primarily used to add and update projects.

  • Manager The Dashboard offers a three-pane view:

  • Execution Node: Includes sub-nodes like Suites and Scenarios, showcasing graphical representations of the latest execution trends for test cases.

  • Development Node: Encompasses sub-nodes such as Test Cases by Scenarios, Test Cases by Users, and Tasks by Users, offering a graphical representation of the overall test development progress.

  • Trends Node: Provides graphical representations of trends in execution and change status for Suites and Scenarios over multiple iterations.
    • Project Dashboard: Displays project details, including summary, development status, and last execution status.

    • Test Infrastructure Utilization: Offers insights into the usage details of test automation tools, aiding optimal resource utilization.

    • Recently Run Test Execution Reports: Provides a snapshot of the latest five suite reports across projects for quick assessment.

Tester Dashboard:

Available to users other than Project Managers, the Tester Dashboard presents a clear overview of the status of projects assigned to the user.

  • Tester Dashboard offers a three-pane view:

    • Development: Offers a tabular view of the development status of test cases, including details such as project name, test cases to be automated, automated test cases, and task timelines.

    • Execution: Provides tabulated details of Execution Schedules for Suites per project, offering insights into project progress.

    • Reports: Displays a list of the last five executions for suites across projects for quick reference.

Project Charts:

The Project Charts provides an in-depth insight into the overall status of Test Development and Test Execution.

The Project Chart presents a tree structure view:

    • Reports: Provides a list of the last five suite executions across projects. Here, you can view Project Name, Suite Name, Build, Release, Generation date, and Last execution status. Refer to this section to review the results of recent test executions.

    • Trends Node: Provides graphical representations of trends in execution and change status for Suites over multiple iterations.

Trends Node

In this screen, you can view Test Cases developed by Scenarios and Users as well as Tasks developed by each user.

  1. Suites: This displays a bar graph of the execution trend of test cases for the last five iterations of a project, suite-wise. You can apply filters based on Suites, Release, Build, and/or Iterations.

  2. Change Status for Suites: This shows a graph of the trend for the execution status change for a test case between two iterations, suite-wise. Test cases that passed in the latest iteration but failed in the earlier iteration are highlighted in green. Test cases that failed in the latest iteration but passed in the earlier iteration are highlighted in red. You can apply filters based on Release and/or Build.

Switching Between Projects

In QAS, users may handle multiple projects simultaneously with different roles. The Dashboard facilitates easy switching between projects through a dropdown menu. This helps users to seamlessly transition between projects assigned to them.
