The application under test may undergo changes during its life cycle. The object details or the object properties may change if developers modify the code or add new functions to the application under test. In such cases, you may require to edit object details. You may want to change the name of the object, class of the object, description of the object, or parent of the object. 

You need to edit an object when its name or properties change. Also, you can place an object under another parent object or make it independent.

To edit an object:

Click Objects Tree > select
  1. Click Development > Objects.

  2. Select the object from the list on the right pane

  1. of the Objects tab.
    The main screen displays the details of the selected object and also its child objects.

  2. Click Edit.
    Edit the required fields. You can also add or remove object properties by clicking the Add or Remove buttons respectively. The Edit Object screen resizes up to the full screen.

  3. Click OK.

The object is saved with the revised fields or properties.
