Qualitia admin users A Qualitia user with Product Administration privileges can copy the existing project artifacts using the Save As operation.

Important notes:

  1. User can select Selecting the top level artifact artifacts marks all the child level artifacts shall automatically be marked for copy.
    Example: If User user selects a Scenario node then , all test cases in that scenario will be marked to be copiedare marked for copy.
  2. User can select individual artifacts to save to the new project.
    Example: If user selects individual test cases only the test case and its associated artifacts (tasks, objects, actions) which are used in the test case will be marked to be copiedcases are marked for copy.

    Note

    Note: Copying a test case will always copy its scenario. Similarly copying a single child object will always copy its parent node.


  3. User can select individual artifacts irrespective of their associations with test cases/tasks. 
    Example: User can filter on the Artifacts type and select specific objects to save. In this case, the custom actions, tasks, test cases in which this objects have been used shall not be saved.

If user tries to navigate to another artifact type without completing the Save As operation, the current selections will be lost.

  1. Log on to Qualitia Automation Studio as an admin user.a user with Product Administrative privileges. 
  2. On the Admin tab, click Projects.
    The list of existing Qualitia projects is displayed.
    (In the below figure, ASP_Project is the project which will be Copied into the new empty project)

  3. Select the Source project and click Save As
    The Save As screen is opened.

  4. Select the Target Project from the drop-down list.

  5. Select the Artifacts to be copied in the target project from the drop-down list.

  6. User can filter the view on Artifact type + Change status of the artifacts. (First time copy will display all artifacts as they have never been copied to a source project.)

  7. Select artifact in the left pane to view its details in the right pane.

  8. Select the individual artifacts which you want to copy.

  9. Select the check box at the top to mark all the child artifacts to copy to the target project.

  10. Click the Preview button to open view the report.

  11. Expand artifacts tree in the left side to view contents of test cases / tasks / actions.
  12. Click the desired test cases to view tasks list in the right pane.
  13. Click the task to view status of objects and actions used in the task.

  14. To complete the operation, click Finish. An information message is displayed to indicate if save was successful and provide an option to user to export the report to a spreadsheet.
  15. Click Yes.

  16. If Save As operation has found artifacts which are already existing or conflicting in the target project then the message changes.
    Click Yes to export the report to a spreadsheet.
    A spreadsheet report is displayed.
    The report can be saved by user at desired location for future references.
