🔀 Online License Activation - Local

When you try to manage licenses, you may land in any of the below scenarios:

  1. Activate license on a new installed server.

  2. Manage Licenses (about to expire or expired or deactivate)

Qualitia supports installation of multiple licenses in a Server and also allows managing licenses installed in an external server.

Assuming that there are multiple licenses installed in a single machine, when a Qualitia Automation Studio Client tries to interact with a server, it will:

  1. Look for the existing servers installed in the machine.

  2. Look for seat availability in the first server.

  3. If seat not available or license is expired, it will switch to the next installed license server.

🔑Prerequisites:

  1. A windows server

  2. Installed Qualitia Automation Studio: This is required to manage and use the licenses.

  3. Internet Connection: This is needed for online license activation and deactivation. For offline mode, you'll need a machine with internet access to generate and retrieve the required activation and deactivation files from the Cryptlex portal.

  1. If you are unable to activate a license, check if the license key is correct and if the server has internet access (for online activation).

  2. If offline activation is unsuccessful, ensure the generated request file is properly copied to the Cryptlex portal, and the downloaded response file has been correctly uploaded in the Qualitia Automation Studio.

  3. Verify Service:

    1. Navigate to current machine’s Services.

    2. Look for Qualitia Automation Studio service.

    3. Status should be shown Running.

  4. If a client is unable to connect to the license server, confirm the IP address and the server port. Also, ensure the server has a license available for leasing.

  5. If you encounter an issue when deactivating a license, check your internet connection and ensure the correct deactivation file is uploaded to the Cryptlex portal (for offline deactivation).

  6. If you cannot delete a license, check your administrative permissions and ensure the license is not currently leased to a client.

  7. If any of the Qualitia Automation Studio Client is throwing a License Not Reachable check whether Qualitia Automation Studio service is running and is active. The other reason why this error message could come could be due to the fact that there is no seat available in the license server i.e you have purchased 20 client seats and all the 20 are currently active resulting in this error message.
