Test cases once created in Qualitia Design Studio, then can be published for automation.
An Administrator, Project Manager, Lead or Tester users have privilege to create new test cases.
To create new test case:
- Sign in to Qualitia Design Studio and in the projects section, click on the desired project name under which you want to create test case.
- From the top menu items, click Test cases.Select desired Epic and Story using the drop-down lists under which you want to create a new test case.
On the test cases screen, all the existing test cases are listed and displayed in the left pane. - To create new test case, click the icon.
A new test case screen appears. You can update epic and stories from this screen too. - Enter Test Case Name and Description.
It is mandatory to select story and enter test case name before you save the task. Other fields are optional. Select the Jira hierarchy. - Select Severity and Priority based on the requirements and then click Done.
Now you can add tasks, steps and objects in the test case.
In Qualitia you cannot save an empty test case. - Do one of the following:
- To select tasks from the existing task library, start typing the task name and select a task from the list shown.
- To add new task, enter task name and add steps using the add step (+) icon.
A task cannot be empty.
- Click Save.
