OR objects help to save the time spent on managing objects. You cannot add, edit, or remove OR objects manually.
All you need is to do the following tasks:

  • Map a tsr file with a Qualitia Project

  • Sync the OR objects whenever the tsr file is updated

    The UFT objects that are stored in a Test Shared Repository (tsr). You can specify the path to the tsr file to map the repository with Qualitia Automation Studio.
    The UFT objects in the mapped repository are then available in Qualitia Automation Studio and can be used in test cases.

    You cannot modify the UFT objects in Qualitia Studio. You can modify the existing UFT objects or add new objects in the mapped tsr file and easily synchronize the changes in Qualitia Automation Studio.

    Mapping a tsr file with a Qualitia Project

    You need to create a tsr file using UFT and map it with a Qualitia desktop project. After you map a tsr file, the objects in the mapped repository are available in Qualitia Automation Studio.

    If you have already defined the location of the tsr file in the Global TSR Path while creating the project, you are not required to map the tsr file again.

    To map a tsr file with a Qualitia project:

    1. Go to Admin > Project.

    2. Click Edit next to the desktop project that you want to map with a tsr file.

    3. Enter the location of the tsr file, in Global TSR Path.

    4. Click Save.
      The Objects screen now displays all the objects in the OR tree node.

    Replacing the Mapped tsr File

    To replace a mapped tsr file for a project:

    1. Go to Admin > Project.

    2. Click Edit next to the project to replace its mapped tsr file.

    3. Click Browse to locate another tsr file, in Global TSR Path.

    4. Do one of the following:

    Preview the new set of objects as a report in the CSV format. The report shows all the objects that are new, modified, and deleted by comparing them with the current OR objects.

    After viewing the objects in the report, you can click Proceed or Abort.

    Map the OR objects in the new tsr file.

    Abort

    Cancel mapping the OR objects in the new tsr file.

    After the tsr file is replaced, in the OR node, all the deleted objects are highlighted in red along with an exclamatory mark.

    Synchronizing OR Objects with a tsr File

    Before you start synchronizing, you can preview to check whether all the objects in the updated tsr file are present to create the required test cases.

    • On the Objects screen, you can view the complete information for all the objects including the last date and time when it was last updated from the tsr file.

    • If you have started synchronizing the OR objects, then other users cannot synchronize or cancel the synchronization until the process completes.

    • If the object name contains a Non-English character, though it is stored, it may not be stored correctly.

    • If the tsr file contains objects that Qualitia does not support, they are listed in the report.

    To synchronize OR objects with a tsr file:

    1. Open the Qualitia project which contains the OR objects that you want to synchronize.

    2. Click the Develop tab.

    3. Click Sync TSR located at the top-right corner.

    4. Do one of the following:
