The Object Repository Manager of HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) helps you to add and maintain the set of objects as a tsr file. For more information on this, please refer to the HPE UFT documentation.

From Qualitia you can sync a project with a tsr file, which provides the updated objects.

Mapping a tsr file with a Qualitia Project

Once you create a tsr file containing objects of an application under test, you can map it with a desktop project.

If you have defined the location of Global TSR path when creating the project, then you can view the OR objects.

To map a tsr file with a Qualitia Project:

  1. Go to Admin> Projects.

  2. Click Edit to next of the desktop project.

  3. Enter the location of the tsr file, in Global TSR Path.

  4. Click Save.
    The Objects screen displays all the objects present in tsr file in the OR tree node.

Syncing OR Objects

After specifying the tsr file path in Global TSR path field of Project settings, you need to sync the OR objects to get the objects that are updated in the tsr file.

  • If a user has added any non-supported objects in tsr, Qualitia displays such objects in the report before synchronization.

  • On the Objects screen, you can view the complete information for every all the objects including the last date and time on which it was updated and synchronized from tsr.

  • If multiple users are using the same tsr file simultaneously, anyone can go aheadsr fi  to get the updated set of only one can sync the objects available in the tsr file. Until the synchronization completes, it does not allow other users others to sync or cancel the syncing.

  • In case the application under test consist some non-English characters as object names, CSV the report may not be able to display it properly.

  • If a user has added any non-supported objects in tsr, Qualitia displays such objects in the report before synchronization.

To sync OR objects with a tsr file:

  1. Open the Qualitia project .

  2. Click the Develop tab.
    Note: If your test cases are ready, then you `can sync from the Execute tab.

  3. Click the Sync TSR button placed at the top-right corner.

  4. Do one of the following:

To preview Preview the report of modified objects. After viewing the objects, you can click Proceed or Abort as explained in this table.

Proceed

To merge Merge new set of objects with existing object repository.

Abort

To cancel Cancel with a updated tsr file.

  1. An excels sheet opens that shows all the objects that are added, modified, and deleted.

In the OR node, all the

deleted

objects removed from the tsr file are highlighted in red along with exclamatory mark ,which you cannot use in any test case.

You can view in which test cases the removed objects are present. For instructions on how to view the associated test case for an object, refer to Working with View Test Cases Feature .

Replacing the Mapped tsr File for synced OR objects

If you are replacing a tsr file, you can preview to check whether all the objects are present to create the required test cases.

To replace a mapped tsr file for a Qualitia project:

  1. Go to Admin > Project.

  2. Click Edit to next of the project.

  3. Click Browse to locate another tsr file.
